BUCK | Buckingham Port-A-Wrap III
OVERVIEW
Lowering big wood used to mean wrapping the line round the nearest tree and hoping the bark held. The Port-A-Wrap gives your ground crew a controlled, predictable friction point that goes wherever the rig needs it, without scarring the tree or guessing at the brake.
Add or take off wraps to match the friction to the load, so you can let a piece run or hold it dead. Rig it to the base of a tree with a sling, drop the rigging line on, and you’re lowering. It’s quicker and safer than wrapping by hand, and easier on the rope.
Two sizes
Mini: light enough to take aloft for light rigging and smaller pieces. Takes rope up to 13mm (1/2in).
Large: the ground-based workhorse for heavy wood and big removals. Takes rope up to 19mm (3/4in).
